What is the treatment of small zones with botulinum toxin?
In contrast to large -scale applications, the wrinkle treatment of small zones focuses on targeted, fine areas of the face. Limits: If the desire for lip or a longer effect, the combination with a filler may be considered.

Botulinum toxin: mode of action, durability, treatment process
How does botulinum toxin work in small zones?
Botulinum toxin inhibits the release of the messenger fabric acetylcholine on the nerve-muscle connections. This reduces muscle contraction, which smoothes the skin above the treated area. The effect begins about 4 days after the injection and reaches its maximum after about four weeks.
Depending on the muscle activity and individual metabolism, the effect usually remains about four months.
However, the duration of action can be shortened, especially for people with very pronounced facial expressions or intensive sporting activities, since the muscle is stimulated faster again by frequent activity.
